
Nowadays, you really have no choice but forward because you can’t even browse the internet period if your browser isn’t new enough.

Anyway just my story of things I wished I learned or been warned about. I realize they were forcing users to avoid the security issues with prior software. And let’s say if you waited 2 versions to upgrade like from 8 to 10, for simplicity, if you’d never once at least downloaded the free 9, then you’d forever be unable to snag it in the future. But that’s the first time I found out that Apple had begun removing some older software from being downloaded. Around my 6th high end Mac in 2013 or so I needed to download an older version of the os from the Apple store, because the newer one caused so many issues I wanted to retrograde.


Of course, I’m talking about getting and saving and archiving the original iTunes download of every major Apple OS. If I could go back 20 years ago, I would have done one thing differently that I just didn’t think about enough then, and took for granted their continued existence and availability.
